The M123 & M335 Series of Variable Area flowmeters provide medium to high flow rate indication of low viscosity liquids and gases, and although first patented at the beginning of the 19th century, this type of flowmeter still performs and important role and is a substantial part of the modern day instrumentation market. With their simple but robust measuring principle the M123 & M335 Series is one of the few types of instrument that will measure liquids and gases without the need for complicated electronics or additional power sources. With glass giving way to modern chemically resistant engineering thermoplastics, these flowmeters are ideal for OEM’s who require flow indication and perhaps an alarm but do not want to go to the expense of complicated electronics, which makes them the first choice for stand-alone applications.
