DIMF density / concentration sensors

The DIMF series density/concentration meter range are all based on the oscillating element principle. The fluid to be measured flows through an oscillating element (tuning fork or tube) that is excited electromagnetically. The element oscillates at the natural frequency which changes with variations in the fluid density. A transducer detects the changes and provides a signal proportional to density or concentration.

We offer several models for a wide range of applications.  All are rated for continuous use and can be specifically calibrated and temperature compensated if required.  Local displays, 4-20mA, RS232 and HART outputs are all possible.

  • DIMF compact: for economic measurement of density ranges 500 to 1500 KG/m³ for flow ranges up to 6 L/min. RS232 output. Suitable for building in to machines/devices or for permanent in-line use on a process/system.
  • DIMF 1.3: for measurement of density ranges 0 to 5000 KG/m³. Flow ranges up 10 L/min. Local display, ATEX and HART versions available.
  • DIMF 2.0: for measurement of density ranges 0 to 5000 KG/m³. Flow ranges up 50 L/min. local display, ATEX and HART versions available.
  • DIMF 2.1: for measurement of density ranges 0 to 5000 KG/m³. Flow ranges up 350 L/min. local display, ATEX and HART versions available. This unit is specifically for highly viscous fluids or concentration measurement of fluids that tend to crystallize or potentially create deposits into the oscillating tube internals (e.g. fruit juice concentration measurement)
