Pelton Wheel Flowmeters

Pelton wheels are designed to measure the flow of low viscosity media i.e. water like liquids. Cooling water monitoring (injection moulding & die-casting machines are a favourite) and dispensing/batching (additives, stabilisers or colourants) are just some of the applications these meters excel at. With bodies of Stainless Steel, Polypropylene or PTFE even the most aggressive chemicals can be measured. Pelton Wheel commonly have a frequency output, but the Flowstat series also offers a range of Analogue options (4-20 mA & 0-5V) and a relay flow alarm as well.  From low-cost OEM quantity production meters (Flowstat ES) to top of the range completely non-metallic PTFE meters for strong acids (SPT), all options are covered.

 

  • Flowstat ES: ½” OEM flowmeter moulded in PP, ideal for machine builders. Two flow ranges 1-17 L/Min or 2-60 L/Min, 10 Bar pressure rating, clear front cover, 65oC max temperature and a choice of outputs, pulse, 4-20 mA, 0-5V or relay alarm.
  • Flowstat: ½” to 1” meter with Stainless Steel body. Min flow 1-17 L/Min, max flow 60-200 L/Min in user selectable flow ranges, max 34 Bar (with StSt cover instead of clear), 107oC max temperature and a choice of outputs, pulse, 4-20 mA, 0-5V or relay alarm.
  • SPX: 3/8” to 1” meter with Polypropylene body. Flow rates from 0.26 to 151 L/Min in 4 ranges, max 10 Bar, 70oC max temperature, clear cover and frequency output. Options for high resolution rotor, completely non-metallic, choice of seals
  • SPT: 3/8” to 1” meter with completely non-metallic construction. PTFE body, Ruby bearings, Ceramic or Silicon Carbide shaft, flow rates from 0.26 to 151 L/Min in 4 ranges, max 10 Bar, 82oC max temperature and frequency output. Options for high resolution output and choice of seals.
  • DP: Insertion Pelton Wheel for Larger pipes, typically installed in water pipes of 1.1/2” to 6-8” nominal bore but larger up to 100” is possible with either Reed switch, voltage pulse or Hall effect frequency outputs or directly mounted displays.
